Pinterest

So I was introduced to this new (well new to me) website http://www.pinterest.com/
I can honestly say i'm totally addicted. Also searching this website i've realized after looking from blog to blog ive got a ton to learn about this whole thing. I feel so runt-ish when looking all these mommy blogs with such great information and wonderful design.....

Hopefully i'll be able to get the hang of it and have a few followers of my own :-)

Halloween

OUR FIRST trick-or-treating experience! I was kind of hesitant, and wasn't sure how this night would turn out. Thankfully everything worked out wonderfully!  Buddha dressed as elmo, nice and warm and kept his costume on the whole time. His nami bought him a car goody basket that he wouldn't let go of so that was also a success.  I even mangaged to find some red gloves to match his costume that day during work.

We ended up driving to our daycares neighborhood and meeting up with a few of the parents and our daycare provider to go as a group. I figured he would be more comfortable with kids he already knows going up to strangers, and he did! At first he was pretty hesitant to go up to a stranger, but once he realized all he had to say was trick-or-treat and they gave him candy he was all about it running from door to door.
It was also great that, that whole neighborhood really gets into the Halloween spirit, almost every house was decked out with lights and special effects.  I dont think i've ever seen so many kids trick or treating in my life. Especially since my mom's house maybe gets 10 trick-or-treaters every year despite all the crazy decorations she puts out in the yard.

Doing a good 3 hours of trick or treating, we (the parents) were spent but Buddha was still going. So I drove over to my mom's so we could do a few houses with her and was able to catch up with her neighbors since they wanted to see buddha's costume.

Overall Buddha had a wonderful expereince, no breakdowns (major plus) and the weather wasn't too bad. Also mommy and daddy got to steal all the candy that a toddler cant eat yummmmm

Pumpkin Carving

So this is year two of pumpking carving for my family. This year Buddha is old enough to get the concept of scooping out the pumpkin guts instead of just squeeshing it between his fingers. Laying out news paper and pre-scrapping most of the insides so he just had to scoop it out and put it in the bowl, he seemed to enjoy him self for the most part. I'll have to post pictures when I get a chance, if any one knows of any fun ways to carve pumpkins with toddlers that would keep them more entertained, let me know i'm all ears.

Overall i'm happy with it, I got some good pics, and video. I cant wait hopefully next year he can poke the holes in the pumpkin for the design. Though I have a feeling our pumpkin will look more like that horror film with the guy that has pins all in his face...
